Gabrielle (Brie for short) d’Ayr is a US Navy Veteran. Born in Taiwan to Navy parents, she lived in various countries and a number of states including Florida, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, South Dakota, California and Maine. She first moved to Las Vegas in 2004, renting an apartment between The Palms & the New Orleans. Gabrielle has worked in Government healthcare and education as a comms manager, process manager and business manager and is certified as project, program and risk manager. Since returning to Las Vegas, Gabrielle has run for the State Assembly District 12, testified a citizen lobbyist during the 2019 Legislative Session in Carson City in support of the environment, veterans, reproductive justice, pay equity, tenants’ rights, and other progressive policies included in her campaign platform, and currently lobbies in DC with Vet Voice Foundation, Natural Resources Defense Council, Endangered Species Coalition and Wilderness Society. As an activist, she has participated in Women’s Marches here and in London; March for the Truth in LA; March for our Lives in Vegas; and protested in DC against ICE and Kavanaugh’s appointment to the Supreme Court. She is a member of most democratic clubs in Clark County, and the Treasurer of the new Nevada Federation of Democratic Women. She also served as a core leader for Indivisible, the Legislative Director for WolfPac Nevada, and has worked with MoveOn and the Center for Popular Democracy. She has recently been accepted as a member of the International Association of Women.
